Karakoram Road, Pakistan

<Karakoram Highway {Urdu: شاہراکو قراقرم} is known for its first KKH, also known as the N-35 or National Highway 35 or China-Pakistan Friendship Highway 1,300 km {810 miles} Is the national highway from Hassan Abdal in Punjab Province in Pakistan and Khandrab Pass in Gilgit-Baltistan, where it enters China and then China National Highway 314 • ° Highway connects Pakistan's provinces Punjab and Khyber ° Pakhtunkhwa, as well as Gilgit-Baltistan and China, Xinjiang Uyghur Independent Region. The main road attracts tourists and, passing the Karakoram range, is one of the world's paved roads, often referred to as the eighth wonder of the world because of its height and difficult terrain where it is located near the Khandarab Land. The highway is also part of the Asia Highway AH4.
<The Karakoram Highway, also known as Friendship Highway in ° China, was built by the governments of Pakistan and China. It started in 1959 and was completed in 1979 and opened to the public. At first, Pakistan preferred to pass the Mantaka Pass. In 1966, China cited the fact that Mantaka would be more affected by air strikes, rather than praising the Stepper Dagger Pass. About 810 Pakistani workers and about 200 Chinese workers lost their lives during the construction of the highway. More than 140 Chinese workers were killed during construction and buried in Chinese cemeteries in Gilgit. The KKH route follows one of the many routes along the ancient Silk Road.

On the Pakistani side, the road was built by the FWO (Frontier Works Organization), which used Pakistani military engineers. The Pakistan Army Branch has completed a project to record a highway history. The history of the Karakoram Highway is written in two volumes by Brigadier (retd) Muhammad Mumtaz Khalid. In the first volume, the author discusses the land and people, the prehistoric communication system in the northern hemisphere, the need for periodic road connections with Gilgit and the construction of the Indus Valley Road. <The second volume records events, including the conversion of the Indus Valley road into the Karakoram Highway, difficulties in its construction and the role of Pakistan ° Army Corps of Engineers and their Chinese counterparts in its construction.
In recent years, this highway has sought to be a tourist destination, or Pakistan has attracted far fewer tourists from the world than domestic tourists. But in recent years, due to improved security in the country, the number of foreign tourists visiting Pakistan has tripled since 2013, up from 1.75 million in 2016.
Among the country's tourist destinations, KKH is considered the "third best" by the Guardian. The road easily provides for hills and cyclists in many of the region's high mountains, glaciers, and lakes. The main road provides routes from Islamabad to Gilgit and Skardu. These are the two most important mountain hiking trails in Pakistan's Gilgit-Baltistan region of Kashmir.
<Gilgit-Baltistan Governors of Pakistan_ led by ° Kashmir and Xinjiang Chinese authorities have signed an agreement to provide permanent residency for their citizens. This pass is due to calendar years and is only used to travel through Khandarab. Karakoram Highway has been declared the most beautiful place in the world. KKH provided a cross-country trip from Hassan Abdal, Pakistan to Kashgar.
The Karakoram Highway is a natural valley leading to the Nelter Valley. The valley offers snowcapped mountains, high peaks, alpine ski slopes, high lakes, glaciers, and mountain passes. Lake Bashgiri is one of the highest lakes in Pakistan. Pakura Pass is famous for its glaciers and pastures.
