Swat Valley















The history of Swat valley goes back to around 2000 years ago. It was known as Udyana meaning Garden, later the name was changed to Suvastu.  Swat was a former state which was given the status of a district in 1970.  Saidu Sharif, the capital of Malakand Division, is located in this district.  Swat enjoys a privileged position in the northern region of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.  The district is famous for its anthropology and archeology in the history of Central Asia. It is called the Switzerland of Pakistan because of its many opportunities for sightseeing.  Swat has played an important role in the development of the Northern Areas.  Apart from the lush green fields, it is also a center of trade.  There are beautiful meadows and clear water springs and the river Mojokalam, all the facilities of life in Madiun and Bahrain, including higher education institutions.  The people here are very hardworking and mentally developed.  One of the most beautiful regions in the world, it is located 254 km northeast of Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, and 170 km from Peshawar, the provincial capital.  According to the 1998 census, the total population of Swat district is 1,257,602 (12,57,602) and its total area is 5337 sq km.  It is bounded on the north by Chitral district, on the south by Buner district, on the east by Shangla district, on the west by Dera and Malakand Agency areas, and on the southeast by the beautiful state of the former state of Amb (Darband),
Its landscapes are a proof of natural beauty and it was one of the most visited areas and had a major tourism industry. Swat ia also also famous for handmade ornaments and decorative household articles. The embroidered items made by women are the trademark. For example ladies shawls, wooden furniture, handicrafts and honey are famous items. They are also very famous for precious and semi precious stones.

Bhanbhor, Pakistan

Banbhore or Bhambore is an ancient city dating to the 1st century BC located in Sindh, Pakistan.  The city ruins lie on the N-5 National Highway, 65 km (40 mi) east of Karachi.
